Ladies Captain’s Charity Day Report

Ladies Captain’s Charity Day Report
* sent on behalf of our Ladies Captain Megan Bibby*

Thank you to everyone who supported my Ladies Captain’s Charity Golf Day, it was an amazing day and only dampened by the weather. Out of the 128 people including 46 visitors, only two who signed up were unfortunately unable to start, so considering the awful weather, I think this alone was pretty incredible. A huge thank you to each and every one that battled round for as many holes as you could in some torrential rain.
With your help and support, we managed to raise an incredible amount of £5,410.55, this was helped by an extremely generous donation of £2000 and various silent auction fourball vouchers which although I still have to collect the money in, I have accounted for in the final total. The raffle alone raised over £1000!!

I must put on record my thanks to the wonderful sponsorship given to me to support this day and in no particular order and I hope I don’t forget someone:

Hills Sound and Vision; James Ross Jewellers; Premier Windows; Premier Office Automation;
PIP Cleaners; Ryan Fenwick our professional; John Earl the professional at Ifield;
Tom Coulson, La Cala Rentals; Fullers; Circle Golf Insurance; Obvious Products creators of Gunnerz; Phil Quinlan on behalf of Cash for Cancer; Sainsburys; Michael Hunt, ESN; Ian Jaggard. Phew, quite a list and all so generous!
Thanks to my dear friends Belinda and Elaine for their help and support in the half way house and of course Mary from St Barnabas who was there to support all day. My Rock and Partner, Howard to whom I give a huge thank you for his help in every way and especially for doing the board and scores. My GCMA colleagues who came from all over the Southern region and everyone who was there or donated because they couldn’t make it.
